Pitts, Mark

Mark is currently a graduate student at the University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy. He is working on his PhD dissertation, which will be completed in the spring of 2010. He intends to obtain either a post-doc research position involving the study of low-mass stars and brown dwarfs, or a teaching position in physics and/or astronomy at the undergraduate level. In either case, he plans to apply the principles of “inquiry” design into his future teaching experiences, and find creative ways of having students assume ownership of their own learning.
